Pasta Please, PLEASE! (8 weeks/4 days)

Pasta Please, PLEASE!
I love me some Macaroni Grill!  Even if I have nobody to eat it with, I call it in for carryout, take it home and am one with my merry self!  It was a typical Saturday afternoon and Macaroni Grill kept whispering “eat me” in my ear.  At 12:15pm (the times will be important to note), I called Macaroni Grill to place a carryout order.  A guy answered the phone and took my “Create Your Own Pasta” order.  He said it would be 15-20 minutes and I my stomach and I were excited!

I pulled up to Curbside Service at 12:37pm.  Usually someone inside sees your car and immediately comes out to help.  I waited.  Nobody.  I waited some more.  Nobody. After five minutes of waiting, I called Macaroni Grill.  A lady answers the phone and I tell her I’ve been sitting outside in my car and nobody has seemed to notice.  She puts me on hold.  While I’m still on hold listening to the elevator music she walks outside and says “I’m sorry, we got backed up in the kitchen and it’s going to be another 15 minutes.”  My response “So what you’re really telling me is that you haven’t processed my order yet!”  She hesitates and I say “I hope you’re not expecting me to pay full price for this service.”  She gives me a absent minded look and says she’ll look into the situation.

I wait into my car another 13 minutes and close to 1:00pm a guy comes out with my order.  He once again states that they were behind in the kitchen and tries to take $5 off my meal.  I ask him to look at the parking lot and notice how empty it is.  I remind him that I called in my order at 12:15pm, pulled up 22 minutes later, had to call THEM for service, and then they realized my order wasn’t placed and I had to wait about 15 minutes more for my food.  (you should never mess with a woman when she’s hungry!) I asked him if he was the manager – his response was “Um…… well I’m the manager, today’s my first day in training..”  I stated I needed to talk with a “real manager” because this is not the quality Macaroni Grill service I’m used to. He walks inside, walks back out, apologizes and says my meal is free.

I drive home, still hungry, more than far ready to eat my pasta.  Even though I got home an hour later, the pasta was oh so good!  Although I expect quality service, I will return there to eat again.  Everyone has to start somewhere.  Next time please just don’t do it with my noodles!

November 2011

Pregnancy Cravings….. (8 weeks/ 3 days)

Sometimes being pregnant leads you to things that you’ve never thought of before.  I found this to be my case as I walked down the grocery store isle!

No Need For These (8 weeks/2 days)

While looking through the bathroom closet I ran across something that I won’t be needing for a really long time!  And it sucks, because it was a big jumbo box!

11.11.11 (7 weeks/5 days)

Milton is officially a JAG officer – hooray baby!  He graduated on November 10 and was able to come home for a couple of days before heading to Airborne School for three weeks.  Luckily, he was able to be here in November 11, 2011 (11/11/11).  This was the appointment of my second ultrasound.

As we sat in the waiting room, I became nervous because someone walked in and said “Hey Michelle”.  Although I didn’t recognize the face, I assumed she thought I was pregnant since my husband was sitting with me in the OB-GYN office.  We haven’t told ANYONE so I didn’t want that rumor to get out.

All of my tests came up normal and they determine I have O+ blood.  I did my regular pee in the cup and then Milton joined me in the ultrasound room.  It was cool to see how much the baby had grown in the just a couple of weeks.  As big as the baby looked he/she was really only the size of a jellybean!  The baby was determine to be 7 weeks 5 days old so that coincides with Milton’s “beginners luck” and us getting pregnant on the very first try.

I know I have a little bloat pouch sticking out.  There’s no denying it.  It’s there and I don’t think it’s going anywhere.  So much for sexy tops or tight tops or bikini tops!

It was also great having Milton in town. Although I was tired and nauseated most of the time (and am still tired and nauseated most of the time) he was my protector.  He helped around the house, cooked amazing meals and rubbed my back.  My feet stayed warm at night and it was great to have my best friend by my side.

Baby Turner is on a great path to success and we’re so excited to share our news with everyone else.  My first trimester will end close to Christmas so we’re going to try to wait until then before we tell anyone.  It will be a fun Christmas surprise!

Royal Stalkers and Pregnancy Pooch (7 weeks/4 days)

Let me be the first to say I think the Royal Family is stalking my husband and I!

First, they get engaged on the same weekend that Milton and I get engaged – October 20-22, 2010.  We went on and started planning our wedding, but the creepers they are – Prince William (and the soon to be Princess) Kate decided to plan their weekend the same weekend as our – April 29-30, 2011.

So now, Milton and I are trying to celebrate being pregnant with each other and who decides to rain on our parade?  Good on Catherine Dutchess of Cambridge now has the media on a frenzy that she too is probably pregnant.  Please note the date I’m writing this post – we’ll see what happens with her a Prince William in June of next year.  If nothing else, Baby Turner will have a play buddy!

First Trimester Complaints and Pregnancy Acne (6 weeks/5 days)

Who said that being pregnant was fun?  I’m still waiting for that to happen.

I wake up feeling crappy, I got to sleep feeling crappy and I look crappy.

AND – I have to internalize it all instead of let the world know.  I’m going baby crazy. I’m bloated with acne with a queezie stomach all day.

Baby Turner is definitely giving me a run for my money honey!
